Mercedes-Maybach unveils SL 680 Monogram Series for spring 2025

    August 18, 2024 Automotive

Mercedes-Maybach has unveiled the SL 680 Monogram Series, marking a significant addition to its luxury lineup with the launch set for spring 2025 in Europe. This sporty two-seater combines the distinctive elegance and craftsmanship expected of Maybach with a uniquely dynamic driving experience, encapsulating the brand’s philosophy of luxury and performance.

The Monogram Series features two design themes, “Red Ambience” and “White Ambience,” each offering a sophisticated blend of exterior colors and premium interior materials. The Red Ambience design contrasts obsidian black metallic with a garnet red metallic finish, while the White Ambience features a striking blend of obsidian black and opalite white magno. Both designs showcase the intricate Maybach pattern linking the vehicle’s exterior and interior aesthetics.

Equipped with a powerful 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine producing 585 horsepower, the SL 680 offers an exceptional driving experience. It includes advanced technical features like a 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission, fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive, and rear-axle steering that enhances maneuverability and stability. The vehicle’s sportiness is complemented by its commitment to acoustic comfort, employing extensive insulation measures and a noise-optimized exhaust system.

Inside, the SL Monogram Series exudes opulence with sustainably tanned crystal white MANUFAKTUR Exclusive nappa leather, accented by silver chrome trim. The seats display a new floral design, adding to the vehicle’s luxurious ambiance. The technical sophistication extends to its fully digital instrument display and adapted driving modes tailored for comfort and performance.

The exterior of the SL Monogram Series is just as meticulously designed, with illuminated Maybach-specific features like the radiator grille and lettering. A unique chrome fin and an upright star on the bonnet highlight the vehicle’s refined aesthetic, which is further enhanced by an aerodynamic scoop behind the seats, ensuring the vehicle cuts a striking figure, especially with the top down.

MAYBACH Icons of Luxury will complement the vehicle’s launch with a collection of lifestyle products ranging from leather jackets to dog carriers, all inspired by the Monogram Series’ design elements. These exclusive items will be available in MAYBACH boutiques and online, mirroring the vehicle’s luxurious traits.

As Mercedes-Maybach prepares for the market rollout of the SL 680 Monogram Series, this model stands as a testament to the brand’s innovative approach to redefining luxury sports cars, offering both an unmatched open-air experience and a beacon of modern automotive luxury.
